What NOT To Do

🚫

Don't try to make users use "our" agent instead

"Use Copilot, not OpenClaw" is a losing message. Users chose OpenClaw for reasons. Instead: Make Copilot AND OpenClaw better on Windows.

🚫

Don't lock capabilities to first-party agents

If only Copilot can access Recall or NPU, we lose. Developers will route around us. Instead: Open APIs that any agent can use.

🚫

Don't break things that work

OpenClaw uses shell, browser automation, file system. If we make those harder "for security," users blame us. Instead: Add guardrails that don't break functionality.

🚫

Don't require Microsoft accounts / cloud

Local-first is why OpenClaw resonates. If Windows agent features require sign-in or cloud, we miss the point. Instead: Local by default, cloud optional.

🚫

Don't move slowly

This ecosystem is moving in weeks, not quarters. By the time we ship, the landscape will have changed 5x. Instead: Ship incremental value fast. Iterate.

The fastest way to lose: act like we can control this. We can't. We can only add value.
